Dance Groups

In BCDC fashion, our groups are named according to Greek numbering (1-7).

Ena (ages 7 & 8)

Ena is currently working on basic lyrical and ballet technique. Ena starts rehearsals with warm-up and technique and then moves on to learning choreography. We complete their class by joining with Dyo as we partake in devotion and prayer.

Dyo (ages 8 & 9)

Dyo dancers are currently working on ballet, contemporary, jazz and lyrical genres. They start each class by joining Ena in devotion and prayer. We then move on to warm-up, core strengthening, and technique and finish class by learning and honing choreography.

Tria (ages 9 & 10)

Tria starts each rehearsal with warm-up, strength training, ballet technique, and choreography. They are working on jazz funk, hip-hop, lyrical and contemporary pieces; all of which utilize basic ballet technical foundations. Tria ends each week with a devotion and prayer along with Tessera.

Tessera (ages 10 & 11)

Tessera dancers start each class in devotion and prayer along with Tria. Tessera dancers are working on ballet technique, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and jazz funk. Each Tessera rehearsal consists of warm-up, strength building, technique, and choreography, all of which utilize ballet technique foundations.

Pente (ages 12 & 13)

Pente dancers start each class in prayer and devotion. Pente dancers then move on to warm-up, strength training, ballet technique, and choreography. They are working on jazz funk, hip-hop, lyrical and contemporary pieces; all of which utilize basic ballet technical foundations.

Crew is our boys dance group and starts each week with a devotion and prayer. They will be learning strength training and hip hop.

Kaleo (by invitation)

Kaleo consist of various styles and groups, including *sign language for worship. Directors pray about casting for these pieces and then invite dancers from Ena, Dyo, Tria, Tessera, Pente, Eksi and Epta to be a part of their piece.

*All groups will be learning sign language for worship at different levels and in different amounts. This branch of ministry is directed by an American Sign Language professional. This is a beautiful and unique part of our ministry and our heart is to grow this area of outreach and worship. ALL dancers will lead worship with sign language at some level.
